Philadelphia car to check out

Is there anyone in the Phily area that could take a look at this 300D for me?
It's on eBay here.

Please PM me.

Steve

I don't think the jack holes are supposed to be covered by undercoating...

I've seen this place and I also know that they have put up MBs in the past on ebay. Personally I wouldn't go near it. The "dealer" is really an auto repair plaza, I think there is a Maaco there, auto glass place, collision shop, car audio & "Riiiiims" place, etc etc. Basically I get the impression they buy junkers, respray them and sell them on ebay for profit. This one very clearly has major underbody spray on it, so much that it does cover the jack hole as vstech pointed out. I would be extremely concerned about what other things have been covered up by that underbody. Just my $0.02...if it weren't final exam week I'd go otu and look at it for you but I just don't have the time - apologies!

True that, on both accounts. I could look at it if you'd like. I would avoid it, but I'd be happy to look at it for you.

If anyone goes and looks at it, take a small awl with you and poke around a bit as well as trying to take the caps off of the now-covered jack holes. The undercoating is pretty sketchy. It looks pretty clean and they've got a lot of pictures, which is good. Depending on the price, it could be a good buy. Also, try your best to see it in the rain and take up all the carpets.

I'm betting those passenger doors are transplants to the car, the entire pass side appears to have been rebuilt! note the "shaping" of the points near the fenderwells. either this car was tboned, or the P.O. swiped something serious.
also note in the trunk pics, the passenger side has rust showing under the carpet... I'd bet the rear window seal leaks, or did for a time...
