So I was wondering......

...what 2 sets of horns would sound like. So I hooked up a second set I had laying around and tried it. Well it was kinda loud but didn't sound right, like it was out of sync. So I looked around and found another horn from a 450sl and said "self..that might work". Well it smoothed out the sound and it is LOUD!!! So yes I now have an "experimental" set up of 5 horns. I know "WTF" right. Well they were just lying around needing to get some more wind......ah the junk yards...

I noticed a set of horns from my 93 parts car, and see they are shaped like foghorns instead of the flat frisbee like horns the 123 cars have... it also got me thinking...
but 5 horns? are you trying to blow out the windows of the moron sitting at the light?

I hope you don't run into any over current conditions. Would hate to see them all catch on fire, LoL.

Naw I used my best uneducated judgement and wired them in series. Besides with it doesn't take a long blast to get their attention. Tried and tested on the 440 beltline!

Gastonlia.....glad to see it in my rear view mirror.... murder capital of the world 1974.

I'm still looking for a horn from a 600 Grosser. Now THAT is a horn. I'd use it all the time. Stupid people texting while driving.....

Yep, 6 factory horns and the car sounds like a train. I used them today on a women in a tahoe who didnt seem to care that my lane was merging into hers. She just kept creeping along side of me while the lane to her left was completely devoid of traffic for about a mile. Needless to say, she merged into the left lane after I held down my horn.

I recommend wiring them in parallel. In series your going to have voltage drop because each horn, basically an electromagnet, has a certain resistance. I put 6 horns on mine in a big cluster and stopped at 6 so I dont draw to much current through the horn contact however im considering adding 6 more with the aid of a relay and a direct connection to the battery

I'm thinking of adding two under my rear bumper for future soccer moms!

Their so easy to wire in and can mount almost anywhere and with the aid of a relay there's really no limit to how loud you want it to be. Lol

I'm perfectly happy with the Hella triple air-horns, can be bought for around $30 on line. Kept my daughter "safe" in her Cabbie.

In some places....but according to the state DOT office (who know my name by now) that should change this summer. But I do recall Indy-pendence a few years ago was like East Germany's anti vehicle ditches.
