Loose Steering Box Question

What steering boxes will fit 1984 300D? The steering seems very loose, and I tried tightening it but now it seems even worse. Any ideas about what may be causing this?

which direction did you "tighten" the adjuster?

Yes, these steering boxes adjust in a much different way than US boxes.
