Ok... how do you remove the pod thats behind the Directional Shroud? it's the upper right one behind the shroud thats Just under the windshield, I cant see what it connects to behind there and I cant twist it off without knowing.

It attaches to the same flap/arm as the one on the right side. Easy to break apparently, mine was broken and laying on the air-box. When in doubt, disconnect the clip on the vac-pod end instead.

Try Dave's site. I used his pictures when I did mine. Try center door 1 and from there down. http://www.w124performance.com/images/W124_dash/

It's amazing what one little pod being broken can cause. the back cover initially came off when I tried to remove it

Would this work? Especially the orange cleaner and water rinse and removal afterwards? Reason being I don't want to spend $60 or more on dedicated AC flush chemicals.

1. remove compressor, expansion valve and dryer.
2. Flush everything except items above with mineral spirit
3. Degrease with Zep orange cleaner with 70% water
4. Rinse well with water
5. Blow out all traces of water with compressed air.
6. Install compressor, expansion valve and new dryer.
7. Draw deep vacuum for 12 hours to evacuate and boil off whatever moisture is remaining
8. Pressure test with inert gas
9. Evacuate with deep vacuum for 1 hour
10. Charge with refrigerant and oil

I'd say blow the system through with an inert gas, compressed air always carries moisture, your best bet.

Ok. Does anyone know the Vacuum Routing from the manifold to the pods?

I want to double Check every connection possible.. I installed pods today but nothing is moving still.

I want to check everything from the Manifold to the individual pods themselves to make sure all my connections are where they should be and there are no errant leaks...

maybe someone can tell me where these all go, all the vac lines are original up until a connector which goes to the manifold.

Ok. I tested them

main vac line in, holds pressure engine running

Solid Red- no vac hold or generated

Green/blue stripe no Vac held or generated

orangish/yellow stripe generates but will not hold

orangish/blue stripe minimal vac generation

Orange/white-yes

Solid green, yes

Last one. yes
