Weight of diff?

I need to price shipping on a diff. Anybody know weight of one off the top of their heads?

I am guessing about 65#.

Little less, closer to 50.

I have mine out right now and I can carry it around easily under one arm. I'm at work, I can throw it on the scale when I'm home if you need an exact amount.

I just weighed one but it had a half shaft attached. I left one end of the half shaft sitting on the shelf. I estimate 60 to 62# for a normal 123 diff.

Man that is weird... It just "feels" heavier than that!

I just went out and weighed my spare and it is 66lb. with the rear mount still attached to it. So, yea, around 62 sounds right.

Are you weighing them wet or dry? I would assume that for shipping it would be dry and that might mean it is a pound or two less...

Then the diff might be closer to the 50# mark. I was estimating 4# for half a half shaft.

The 2.47 is a lot heavier than a 3.07.
