Rubber fuel lines

Where can I purchase these over the counter. I called a few auto stores and I was being told that the fuel lines that they carry didn't have any specification. For the most part they said no. I'm looking to replace the rubber fuel lines in the engine bay leading from the hard lines to the pre heater. There are 3 lines that are pretty close together. One of them is leaking. I intend to replace all 3. 1991 300D 2.5.

That's likely because the parts store employees have no idea what the "SAE 30R7" (etc) printed on the hose means.

If you're running biodiesel get SAE 30R9 grade hose. It has a viton lining which is biodiesel resistant.

Ask you local parts house for fuel injection hose. Most MB's use 5/16" for all the supply and return lines, and 1/8" for the injector return line hose.

Because it's more durable than some of the other flimsy hose you can find out there. It is typically layered with a braided string inside that makes it stronger.
