air cell SLS accumulator access? 1987 300TDT

I'm trying to figure out how to get at the air cells. The haynes only mentions front and rear screws holding down the floor panel.

I removed 2 front screws and 2 rear screws under the 3rd seat compartment. But the carpet floor panel won't even budge. are there more screws i'm missing or is there a trick to getting the floor panel to release?

It's kind of stuck down. There is some padded tape on the bottom of the panel, which sticks after a few years. The panel is sheet steel, if it bends slightly it's easy to straighten.

Good luck with the upper hyd line on the right one, ... takes a little dexterity to line up the threads.

Battlestar Glactica? I figured that'd be on VHS, ... or maybe Betamax.

Daughter wedding coming this winter, no toy money this fall.

nope... there's a remake... a MUCH MUCH better one... you should watch it.
i'm not done with the last season though. no spoilers please.

just to stay on topic... yeah... the carpet lines sheet metal, don't go yanking... try to keep a steady pressure and avoid any acute bends

A Stanley Wonderbar helps, with the points down so you don't create divots (sp?).

OK, back at wotk....the floor panel is just taped down? do I just lift it straight up then? I only found 4 screws total. Hopefully I'll get it pulled up today and can swap out my air cells. getting tired of the bouncy ride.
