'99 E300 - I've got the IM off... What else? Do I R&R the GP's while I'm in there?

Ok, I have another thread going on fixing fuel leaks and that has turned into the need to redo the Delivery Valve seals.

So, gentlemen, should I go ahead and do the Glow Plugs while I am in the neighborhood?

It's been about 6 years. Maybe 35,000 miles on them. I'm thinking NOT, but would be interested in others thoughts as I have it opened up anyway.

Yep fuel lines and viton O-rings are done.

Any other thoughts while I am in there?

I just had my IM off and replaced one bad GP. I got brave while I was in there and pulled the rest of the untouched plugs and coated them with anti-sieze.

So far, I've had one stuck/destroyed by the previous owner/ham fisted mechanic, three replaced with no problem and two originals left.

Don't worry with them until one goes. If they are under nine years old, you probably have some life still in them. Now that you know what is in there, getting back in there will be familiar for next time. Yes, there will be a next time.

I'd clean up the EGR while its off. Mine gives me a CEL when it gets dirty. Maybe replace any broken injector line clips too.

Certainly the EGR will get tidied up and I have an email in to PeachTree on the parts including the clips - all but one are broken so I will get a few extra while I am at it.

Thanks, kind of fun to be playing with the Benz again.
