Warning lights on/fading??... wtff

ok well i originally had the battery light come on so we checked the alternator and it tested bad and changed the voltage regualtor, back to working.. occasionally.. then randomly that light and the brake pad light and the parking brake light wil flip on... now from start to finish the 3 lights will be on but at around 70-75mph the lights dim a fair bit... loose ground somewhere??.. when we checked th ebattery last it didnt seem to be charging.. but the car has started with very little problems (none that werent there to begin with.. damn you michigan coldish weather) sooo any ideas? the only thing i can think is a loose ground somewhere... not the battery btw.. oh and lately after the car is started ill put it into drive and the car will stall immediatly.. start it again give it a lil gas and its fine.. is that just due to cold weather?... any help would be great thankss

under the driver's seat in the engine compartment/ under the car, there is a braided cable bolted between the body and the engine. remove it, clean it and where it mounts, put it back well. this will ground the engine and it's components to the body. do the same to the negative cable from the battery to the body. I like to then take a long braided cable and attach it under the battery cable from the body to the motor I use the intake manifold, as it's aluminum, and clean.
as for the stalling, check the usual suspects, fuel filters, idle speed, air filter, chain stretch, valve clearances, and throttle linkage.

Check here. Those lights all connect at the alternator. Or the wiring traces on the cluster.

cleaned the wire and no change.. should i just man up and get a whole new alternator?... and what about the starter selanoid.. lol my gf the other day asked me if the car was fixed and my answer was "define fixed" so she asked me "in running condition" i replied "define running condition" lol seems to be one thing after another but the car runs brillantly still and i dont get it.. its more or less a precautionary step, id rather fix it now when i have the tools rather than on the side of I-75 dead of winter

I'd replace the whole alternator.
