Rear fresh air and heat

After searching through the threads, I have not gotten anywhere that specifically pertains to an issue with my SD. I have neither floor heat, nor console vent fresh air coming out in the rear passenger area. I have good center vent function, with the exception of the left larger driver's vent w/o air flow. Also when I turn on the CCU on anything but MAX AC, I hear a vacuum leak behind the control. I will investigate the leak source, but does one pod control all that? Of course, one leak causes other issues, such as hard trans shift. Any other ideas or thoughts on what to look for?

There's a slide switch at the rear console vent. Maybe it's set to closed.

AFAIK there's a single pod that directs air to the front and rear floor registers. Are the rear ducts in place under the front floor mats? Might the duct outlets be blocked under the front seats?

^ Per side on the floor heat.

You don't get heat from the center console vent, just fresh air.

I found out that the rear vent, as mentioned, just does fresh (cool) air. No AC, no heat, etc. Really best to leave it closed.

But heat will come out of the flat vents under the seats.

in my 83 sd the rear console vent does cold in the summer and fresh in the winter. the manual says to keep it closed in the winter. it does sound like pod issues. if the sliders under the center vent are working properly then to the mity vac you go.
