1987 300D Cruise Control
All-
Cruise has started working intermittently since I have had the car. Seems to work better when it is cold outside. 2 questions: Solder or replace amplifier? Can't seem to find a good source for an AMP, can someone recommend one they were happy with? Are the units compatible with other MB cruise Amps? Seem to remember reading once that the AMPs are the same, the small chip that plugs into the AMP is what distinguishes performance. Thanks |

there's a place you can send it to, to have it reworked I think, someone will chime in more. also be sure that your actuator is working. both the brain and actuator was shot in my wagon (not to mention the Cruise handle)

There is an amp, and a coding plug on later models. From what I read here the amp is the same, but the coding plug is different between models.
