Injector question, turbo & non turbo pop press

On a 96 E300 OM606, I added a turbo and manifold from a 99E300dt. I'm having the computer reprogrammed by Speedtuning. They did my previous 99E300 turbo and it was great. I installed a set of 99 E300 turbo injectors into this 96 non turbo and it sounds like a tractor, nailing/knocking. Now I know I have to deal with some other issues first, like air bubbles coming in before the pre heater/fuel thermostat.which do not help my knocking sound issue. Are the turbo injectors on this non turbo motor a bad idea? I can not think of why. They may need a rebuild/ new nozzles? Should I just reinstall the origional non turbo injectors, which most likely also need to be pop tested.
