300SDL cruise amp substitute?

Does anyone know if a similar year gasser cruise amplifier will work in place of the Diesel one? Or for that matter, what else can swap with the SDL one? I read the 81-85 SDs can, can 90-91 350SD/L work too?

My local JY just acquired two very clean 420s ('86 and '87) and both have newish cruise amps, but still the early 14 pin design without the coding end plug thing. Plus pile of SDs.

If this plays out wrong, I will just go Programma or GDL.



My SDL finally has an entire new front end and new tyres... so it is now my long distance freeway car, so having working cruise would be a big plus.
