Air Filter Housing Vibration
I have a 1981 300SD which has a lot of vibration in the air cleaner housing. I remember seeing a post somewhere in the past that described placing one of the air cleaner shock mounts (with one attachment screw removed) on the outside of the air cleaner housing such that it pressed against the valve cover.
Does anyone remember this or has anyone tried this to lessen the vibration? My shock mounts are new and the mounting frame is in good shape.
