Very nice, but worthless without the button unit in the center console or the control unit that lived in the dashboard.

Plus the analog clock has more class

I have one of those plus the shifter surround with the quad button buttons, the computer was missing from that car though. The vehicle I got it from had a refridgerator in the trunk, burl seat back tray tables, and both rear and front SLS suspension.

It is the second one I've come across the first one I sold to a fellow who was running VO and he used that left side space to build and install a gage/read-out for his VO system monitoring, it was a very slick installation indeed.

It will be interesting to see if and for how much this one sells for!

If that was a w124 clust I would buy it in a heartbeat and stick a LCD over on the right.

[edit] and reasonably priced....

I don't understand what that does for you?

Isn't it basically a digital odometer?

It's a fancy trip computer. Does distance to empty, elapsed time, speed warning, fuel economy, avg speed, and some other stuff I think. With 4 memories.

Just for future reference when the link is dead...

Mercedes-Benz w 126 560SEL / 560SEC Euro Trip Computer ( Reiserechner ) Instrument Cluster. VERY hard to find, even in Germany! The trip computer was a Euro model only option not offered on the USA cars. This cluster has the tachometer relocated to the left side instrument dial, a 260 KMH speedometer with the ASR warning light, and the trip computer LCD display on the right side where the tach would normally be found. The clock is moved to the LCD window at the base of the speedometer. The outside temperature indicator LCD has a black spot on one end (simply use the one from your car), and the left side warning light strip is gone (same thing just use the one off your car).

If you want something different for your Benz this is it for sure! Please note to complete the system you will need the main computer box, the control switch, and the wire harness. (these can be found on German Ebay) There is a specific wood console trim part too but you can get by without that if necessary by locating the switch to a new spot on the console. So to be clear this auction is for the trip computer cluster only.

Cluster has not been tested and carries no warranty. Sold AS IS.

BTW - I want that gauge (Tach, fuel, temp and oil) on the left. But not at that price!

Coolest thing about that cluster to me every time I see it is the miniature tach up in the left hand panel. Think my perfect cluster would be that left-hand with a full size clock in the right bay instead of the computer. That way I get a tach and a big clock. The mini-inset clock under the tach of my w126 is nice but... the big full size ones are just more... interesting.

You could build such a cluster perhaps, a tach wasn't standard on the 280S and all you got was a big clock.
