				Oldest Original Glow Plugs

I read a post from a guy with a 1983 300D, 215,000 miles, with all original glow plugs. 27 years and all those miles....that's pretty impressive.

http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=286890&page=2 Any others with that kind of glow plug longevity? I replaced all five in the 92 about five years ago with 175,000 miles on it. Last year, in my first year of ownership of the 91, I replaced four of the five with only 80,000 miles on it. I guess the previous owner made lots of short trips.

We bought my brother's 300D with 221k on it 2 years ago, it had all original plugs....they sorta worked.

Replacing them made a HUGE difference in starting. And its why we got the car so cheap in the first place.
