And notice the unusual pattern in the #2 cylinder, something isn't right, ... maybe a little (crack) steam-cleaning and odd combustion?
Wouldn't touch it without testing and documentation and even then it's waaay overpriced. Quote:

He still has the ad showing 140k miles up on the Boulder craigslist:

What a fool.

Flagged. I hate rollbacks with a passion.
|
I see he has changed his purchase date. Probably said it was a type error. $4500 price now. Maybe soon it will get to $10k. We should all be contacting him and asking why its so cheap!! Failing tranny makes it sound like 3~400k miles.
|
That pisses me off. I just sent him an email with his old ad attached, and gave it to him. Told him many people are watching what he's doing right now and needs to change it back. Forget the law - He's really stealing from others (the unknowing buyer) and it's totally unethical.
I'll let you know if he responds. |
I have not heard back from him, both ads are still up, and I flagged it too. How many flaggings until it goes away?
|
I once told off a guy with a 84 300D that he was trying to sell claiming it got 40 mpg.
I said back, "That's odd, because if I recall correctly the dealership paperwork that came with my car started that the car should be getting around 25." Show him the door sticker and then I proceeded to find significant floor panel rust. $4500! yeah right. |

The older I get the better she looks the more I drink the older I get the better she looks...
Old Mercedes improve on the spot without even trying! High mileage is an honor, not roll backs. Don't people get this?!? |
