monovalve in relation to a/c on 85 300td

How does the monovalve relate to the a/c function in my 300td?

My a/c blows warm but is properly charged

Feel the heater core "out" hose. If it's warm there's coolant flowing.

I had a problem with my monovalve being stuck open, so even though the air was conditioned, it was also heated too.

A new monovalve fixed it.

Think of it this way:

When you are on a highway trip in fall with the ACC set to ~24C, then once the cabin air gets to that temperature and it decreases the fan speed to it's lowest setting but the cabin air temp is still less than 24C the next thing it does is slightly open the monovalve to stabilize the cabin temp.

I love my working ACC!

The monovalve does not operate in interim positions.

Ahhhh, I knew that.

Correction: The scoop air flap directs air leaving the evaporator either directly to the vents or through the heat exchanger. This does operate in interim positions

The FSM file is too large to attach here, but PM me your email address and I'll be glad to send it.
