The dial with numbers on it for adjusting the idle is on my 1987 300TD. The sensor with big wire plug is right next to the IP shutoff valve. It has a locking mechanism where you push a tab with your thumb and then the plug can come off. Is that what you are talking about?
Did anyone ever find the dial on a 1985 ? It is pretty cool.

right, you have the ELR or EDS. That computer is bit more advanced. This actuator is on the back of the injection pump and attaches to a leaf spring in the governor body for electronic idle control. The sensor in question is in a much different spot, if you read the first post. |
