help
hey guys,
I'm thinking of picking up a 1980 300td the car has just had a head job and now dies when put into gear its evident that the car either has a vac. problem or the torque converter is bad how hard is it to do the torque converter change? all info is helpfull.. Thanks Mike |

Welcome to the forum Mike,
As John suggests, it is important that you have a title to your thread that describes your problem, if you can, make it say "help with stalling". This will insure that every one is happy & no one "gets their knickers in a knot". I doubt that your problem is the converter. They normally fail in free wheel. If you have the car held above idle, say 1000 rpm, does it still stall?
