I would like to look at this one. Like where is that condensation coming from (?) but I won't . Driving a properly running one in the city would be fun.

Sad that a used car dealer like that has it. Fuel mileage? Do they realize theyre talking about a 50 year old collector car and not the 1995 Cadillac next to it? Going to go to a collector most likely. A shop near me has a pair of these rusting in the yard

It would be fine driving in city. Easy to maintain once you had it straightened out. I could commute with it because I don't get on the freeway but I have my eye on a Husaberg FE570S. It is a shame.

I posted the san diego ponton in the diesel cl alert thread this morning. Wondering though, how much is a reasonable offer for something like this?

Wowo Id love one of them. Wonder how rusty. Think it would make it back cross country? I might be able to convince my wife on that basis.

Will it go over 55 MPH?

Wish I had 6 grand right now. That thing is my age, and I'd love to have it just for that reason alone, not to mention that the body and interior are in better condition than my 81! Yeah, I want THAT for Christmas!! Why don't these things ever come along when I have funds to buy them with??

I had a 57 180D back in 78 79.. fun car. Has a 4 speed on the column, can't climb a hill, but was pretty cool. The engine was the same as used on ThemoKing truck units and i found parts at that dealer.
This one is REALLY nice.. same color as mine.
I think mine is still around ABQ somewhere.
Hope someone buys that one and keeps it up nice.

Years ago we had a '59 219, the gas version. Beautiful car, but not fun to drive, seats are upright, like driving your dining room chair. replaced it with a '70 diesel, another slow motion machine. When we bought a new 1974 240D, std shift, we thought it was a rocket ship.
