Get a lower radiator hose heater. Much easier to install than an OE block heater and pretty effective. I've purchased mine on ebay for about $15. By memory the size is 1 1/2. A search on here would confirm the size.

the install isnt a big deal i already got the threaded plug out of the block no problem. i just dont think the hose heater will be as efficient vs a block heater.

You should be able to get a block heater at the dealer.

Oh it is available in 220V mode but it costs a fortune:-

I have seen a kit for it elsewhere - try contacting this forum's sponsors may be they can help.

Is this the correct one? Or do you need to transfer that fitting from your old one?

No problem.

I was just thinking that his new heater might have been the "wrong size" because he didn't account for the fitting.
