WOW! I fixed the clogs and leaks in the lines from the manifold to the ALDA (manifold end clogged, ALDA end broken) and sealed the vacuum pump evacuation line at the intake. I also gave the ALDA adjustment a CCW full turn.
The power is fantastic! I went for a ten mile jaunt with a sprint along the highway. 95 mph and accelerating on an uphill run. The tranny now shifts beautifully.
I have taken part in the construction of some of the largest Community undertakings on the Internet over the last five years. Few forums rival this one. In a month's time I have not only been able to significantly improve the performance and appearance of our 23 year old MB, but have had a great time doing it. Thanks to evryone for all the help.
Much more to be done and I'm looking forward to it.
