So most likely the lack of OOMPF this engine is lacking now, could be (from a lack of proper adjustments) burnt valves. so a compression test and/or leak down test.
I`ll get back to this after I get back from South San Francisco this afternoon. Charlie

also check for slop/wear in the throttle linkages, when i got my car the pedal had to be pressed ~ hallfway before there was action at the IP

The smell in the oil is perhaps from the burning of the vegatable oil and basically never changing it. It should be changed as something detrimental could occur from an oil vegatable base combination.
Also the injectors could be restricted to some degree from using the wvo. This is another possibility for the power drop. It does sound like this particular car may have been in service a long time with little if any standard maintenance. |
