Accelerator linkage slop problem
The pin circled in the image below has gone all wobbly, which is creating a lot of lost motion in the accelerator linkage mechanism. I could use suggestions on how to fix it. I could twist it but it didn't seem to thread in or out. Am I right in thinking it's pressed into the linkage bracket?

The rod that everything is pivoting on may have broken loose from the weld on the bottom side of the plate. Or the hard plastic bushing may have become wallowed out from poor lubrication.
A junkyard specimen would work well. Of you can try to weld the pivot rod back in place from the back side. I've done this on some of the other linkage pivot points.

Thanks. It's definitely the pin that's wobbling; the bushing is a good tight fit on the pin, no slop there.
I'll probably try for a junkyard one, since I don't have a welder. |

The Parts forum here might treat you well also. If the junkyard fails to produce.
