Two New Glow Plugs, New Symptoms

I replaced the first four glow plugs before winter. I could not get to the last two. The car started well all winter with the temps in the teens. Recently it was starting poorly, running rough and lots of unburned fuel smell until it warmed a little. So, I pulled the intake manifold and the last three injector lines for access to the last two glow plugs. Now it starts right up but misses a little and is nailing. I have cracked the injector lines several times to get the air out. There are no air bubbles in the feed line to the secondary filter. The filter has about 10k miles on it. It is still not as quiet at idle as it was before I changed the last two glow plugs. Before it was really quiet.
What's the deal?

Give it an Italian tune up !!!
Good hard uphill run for a decent distance. It will run as smooth as silk after.

Before you go on that ' run ' add a can of Diesel Purge... preferably when very low on fuel so it is concentrated more.. better yet, fill up screw on filter with it and put rest in tank...

Thanks guys, there are not too many long hills where I live. But I did run it yesterday for about two miles in 3rd gear at about 4k rpm and it seems a little better. What exactly does the Italian Tune Up do? Burn up soot?
When I had the intake off I looked inside. It was really gunked up. I would like to have it cleaned, but right now this is my only car.

Burns soot from the valves/exhaust, but in your case just a good amount of flow through the injector hard lines to hopefully remove any remaining air (air in these lines can cause some nasty nailing).
