The shifting Levers have come loose

They have little plastic bushings that are in the interface between the Shifting
Rods and the Shifting Levers.

When the Bushings Wear Out...Everything is "Sloppy" ,or in your case Dis-Connected.

In the Pictogram #17 and #188 are the Bushings.
#194 is the Securing Clip. [If your Clips aren't rusty or missing you can reuse.]

(#128 is a covering for #194)

You WILL have FUN replacing these...Space Constraints and Pressing the Little
White Plastic Bushings into the Levers. (Soak them in HOT water for 10 minutes first.)

Look at this project BEFORE you attempt it.

'Mos Likely You'll use a series of Washers and Bolts/Nuts to FORCE the Bushings into the proper space.

There is an Official Tool for this Job ,But it's prohibitively expensive.

You'll also Be underneath the Chassis!

Its not the shifter who is the problem, must be something inside the gearbox....

welcome to the forum!
sorry you are having issues with this car.
it sounds like you have internal damage problems with the transmission itself.
if P does lock the car, and all other gears release the car, but fail to engage any drive gears, then internally, something is not working.
you could simply be low on transmission fluid, but it sounds more like b2 failure, except then Reverse would work. so I'd have the car towed to a transmission shop for evaluation.

Check for the absence of transmission fluid, is the bottom of your transmission pan wet?

Oil was OK when this happend. I just changed oil and filter apporx 6 mnd ago. I have had this car in 14 year`s and the car have not been in a "shop" yet... 470000km...... I have driven it 300000 off them And i intend to drive this 300` more without having it in a "shop" ever.....

It happened when i put the car in R- backed up and when i put the car in D (or any other) it not responded at all..... Seems like a "quick" brake off some sort.....

If R & P still work, its probably a failed B2.
If P does not work or the car is locked like the park brake is on all the time, it could be an internal mechanical linkage.
Unless you have experience with autos or are a very serious DIY, best get it to a trans specialist.
