My alda has been messed with How do I get back to square one

My 87 190TD was a bit of a slug so I started playing with the Alda. I tried 1 1/2 turns in from the existing position and 1 1/2 turns out from the starting position. In each case this did not improve performance it made it worse. Then I tried removing the alda , what a difference!! it made. I am wondering about the IP as well since even with the Alda removed there is no decernible smoke. I read the various Alda threads and the consensus that I got from them was that the adjustment of the alda was a balance between mid range power and smoke. Maybe my alda is just plain bad. Anyone care to comment. Cheers Dan

With the ALDA off the car, you are where you need to be. No smoke, bonus.
