I'm looking at a 1995 300E diesel this afternoon. Its black, has 225,000 miles on it. I don't know too much about the car but I'm assuming these are the items to be concern about:
1) wiring harness. If not done, its about $1000 ? $300 part if DIY.
2) evaporator. If not done, its $3000 at the shop.
3) tranny rebuild. About $1200.

Are all the 3 items a sure thing that will tend to happen or do some model last beyond the 225k miles without doing the fix ?
What kind of price should it have if none of those 3 items have been done. ? $3000 ?

Is the miles too high or will this model last longer than that ?
