Question OM617 Injection Timing Adjust

Anyone have some tips regarding access to the three injection pump mounting bolts? Looks like a supreme knuckle buster.

There is a 4th on at the rear of the Fuel Injection Pump.

On the one between the IP and the Engine Block I used a 3/8" drive 1/2 Swivel Socket and some 3/8" wobble extensions. I have also used a U-joint in place of the Swivel Socket in past.

For the lower one I use either an S or U shaped obstruction Wrench (I cannot remember which I used) as seen in the double pic; the do not cost much from places like Harbor Freight.

The other pics show a Factory made IP wrench and a diagram from the manual on a self made wrench.

On my w115 I found it easier to get at the lower nut from below, after removing the left front tire.
