I'm hoping to put new metal in the floors of my 240 sometime soon. I have it patched up with aluminum flashing, sheet metal, lots of screws and epoxy and POR-15 to hold it together for the time being. Note to self: not all California cars are "rust free."

Keep us posted!
The most difficult part of pulling the interior is wrestling the center console out. The seats are heavy so they will give you a bit of a battle but not bad really. I stow all the carpet and other interior bits in the trunk and that helps me keep track of everything.

I really need to replace the vacuum pods in the dash while I have everything apart so I'll probably give that a go this weekend.

Here is a pic of the floor with some of the peel and stick in place. I need to remove the passenger seat tomorrow so I can have better access to the center tunnel to apply more peel and stick.

Yes, I have a 300cd that resembles that....

Only I paid a transporter to schlepp it across the continent to find out.

Getting there. Work on the floor pan is just about done. Need to put some POR-15 on the underside where the holes were then probably some spray on under coating.

Carpet cleaning this weekend and then put it all back together.

Good work, I remember this car from about 3 or 4 years ago in Orlando, i was shocked at the amount of miles, in relation to how great it looked! Im glad you decided to keep it going.

How do those floor patches look from underneath the car?

I got most of the interior back together today and took it for a spin. Still need to button up a few things but it's nice to have it back on the road.

79Mercy, of course in my hurry to get the work done I neglected to get any in progress photos from below. It did look pretty funky with the shiny new sheet metal sticking out like a sore thumb but I covered that up with some 3M spray on undercoat. I'll get a photo of that up soon.
