E320 CDI Fuel system issue

I have a P0269 (cylinder #3 contribution balance) code that I have cleared and it comes back. It lights the CEL upon start up. Does this mean I will probably need a #3 injector and if so, how complex or how much $$ am I looking at?

Thanks

Most likely a bad injector, does require calibration with SDS.

Could have someone with SDS try calibration 1st though.

Update on #3 injector

After a trip to the dealership, one injector, and $689.63, I now have a very smooth running CDI. There is no where near the particulate fog present upon full throttle acceleration now. The idle is smooth as glass.

I had a very positive experience at the dealership.

Not sure what's behind that statement. Do you mean cold WVO, or "anything that's not D2"

I've got 37,000 mi on homemade BD on my CDI, no issues.

Is that the V6 CDI ? My friend is looking at a 2007 R-300 wagon with one in it. Wants to know if it is biodiesel friendly .

BioPete - If you follow MB's recommendations you won't run more than B5 I believe.

Others will subscribe this isn't necessary.

The 05 E-Class is the inline 6. The 07 E's and after are V6's and are another tech step forward. The E got Adblue in 2010.

You'd have to check when the R got the V6 and which year it also became Adblue.

For $700 I hope so Boy, DIY'ing really puts one out of touch with reality. I was watching Top Gear the other day and they paid GBP 1200 for an M120 coil installed.

To mbdoc's point, would they have accepted the job as a warranty repair? Can they tell or do they care that you run biodiesel?
