Exclamation Need Mercedes Diesel Mechanic in or Near Radford, VA

I've got a 1982 Mercedes 300 TDT station wagon stuck in Radford, VA where we drove it up from Atlanta. It won't circulate fuel. Changed the primary and second filters.

From the behavior of the lift pump (operating under suction when depressed repeatedly), I'm inclined to believe it's the lift pump itself. I'm not really interested in trying to diagnose it myself, but, instead, would like to just have it towed to a good mercedes mechanic in or around Radford.

Anybody know of a reputable mechanic who works with this model? Someone who's comfortable with WVO? Let me know at your earliest possible convenience by calling 678-431-7825.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!!!

If it's been run on WVO and it's not running now, it could be something as simple as a lift pump but it could also be exhibiting the symptoms of WVO malaise. You don't need an MB mechanic if all you want done is a new lift pump installed. It's a pretty simple job that most any mechanic could do in an hour or so.

use an electric pump if the lift pump failed...universal one for old carb engines...any auto parts place will have one (you can use the electric pump temporarily till you get a new lift pump, but i've heard people run with the electric indefinitely)
