84 300d whats it worth?

A local repair shop has an 84 300d.
Its been sitting in his yard a year or so and he wants it gone.
The body is shot but the old turbodiesel starts, runs and drives.
Glass is ok, all lights and lenses intact, He says it has a newish exhaust but I have not looked closely. Much of the rest of the running gear and interior looks original and well used. Odo says 23xxxx miles.
He says $400 is scrap value.
It would just be a parts car for me. I assume that most parts will fit both my 240's
What do you all think pricewise and otherwise?

give him the 400. Strip the car completely, including the doors etc and the bare body will bring you back the 400. everything you get off the car is free.
