Where O' Where to find a (clean) 95 E300D

Where are they? I am located out west in Northern Idaho and there are hardly any Mercedes diesels out here. What is the best way other than craigslist for finding a clean 95 E300D?

Suggestions?

Thanks

ebay, cars dot com. Miss mine too, but did run into a few when searching for a W210. The clean ones get real spendy, like 9-10K. Yet I reckon there will be fewer and fewer of them unless we start restoring them.

Short answer - Florida/California.

Sure as heck not Idaho, and sure as heck not Buffalo. My current 96 606 is a Craigs list, one way flight to Virginia deal for sub 5K. Mechanicals are mint. Body, eh. But sheet metal is wicked cheap as compared to engine/tranny stuff.

Get your internet search engines a-hummin'!

My clean 91 300D is on Ebay right now....very nice car....auction ends Saturday afternoon. 95 E300's are nice, but 90-93 300D's are nice too.

https://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en

Or you can click on the little "gear" in the upper right hand corner of the screen and select Advanced Search from the menu.

For searching on CraigsList you might try SearchTempest.com which is a specialty search engine that lets you search as many of the local areas as you like. Probably better than Google for that specific application.

three weeks ago,I saw a 95 in the Carson City, Nv. PNP. black with grey interior.
Interior about 8.5, exterior showed no damage. engine looked good, Ie didn`t see any rods hanging out the side or bottom.
No evidence of rust etc.... probably a donated car pnp picked up. shame

Ian, haven`t noticed you in a while, welcome back.

They are very nice. In my ideal MB world, it would be one of four that I'd own.

Im liked mine as it was straight mechanical, no chips. EMP proof ! No code reader required.

Found my 96 on allofcraigs.com - Search ALL of Craigslist

I saw a cranberrry 95 G-wagon on Craigs, Oh man, i was smitten. Theres a 606 packed rig I would spend 20K on.

But the best 95's i saw on Ebay. Which could have been a timing thing.

I have owned both the '95 and '93 - still own the '95 - it is the one Jimmy owned
If you are looking for a w124 diesel I would consider any of them. My '93 was a fine car and my son and I put 100,000 miles on it before a bad accident took it off the road. I look forward to driving my '95 for a long time.
In both cases I looked for a long time, mostly autotrader, ebay and this list. Ebay is scary, but with a PPI and maintenance records you can get a degree of protection. My '95 currently has 197,000 miles on it and is really solid - I'm looking forward to another 100k. Keeping up with maintenance is the key to long life. It is easy for previous owners to cut corners, and not do all the maintenance procedures and repairs, as for many you can "get by" for a while. But I have found that these issues build up until a rather major failure occurs, and then it takes time and money to sort it all out.

That Nashville Craigslist ad may be the same car in the "Cars for Sale" section of this forum. Guy has a 95 e300d with some issues. For $2k, I may just buy it...if the glow plugs aren't busted off.

mercedes site:craigslist.org

That searches all craigslist for "mercedes" when googled.

Statewidelist is the best way to search for an item by state, which then separates it by Region
This has been my process for a couple years now and I was Hoping I would never have to divulge...:-)
