87 300TDT Brake Job

Good Day! I am going to endeavor to change the brakes on my '87 300TDT. In doing so, I hit the brake page on peachparts.com (1987 Mercedes Benz 300td BrakeProduct Subcategories - Peachparts).

I need new front pads. Can anyone make a recommendation? Are the most expensive on the page worth the $? Should I replace the sensors? Are there any other parts I will need?

I will check the back pads. Should I just replace them even if they do not need it? The vehicle is only 6 months in my possession. I do not know when they were last changed.

Will I need any special tools?

This is going to be my first big project of the new year. :-)

As always, Thank You for Your Anticipated Advice!
