Bad / not Starting engine

First of all hi all i am new at this forum i know this forum for a long time but didnt had a mercedes until now (w124 200d om601)

I got a very strange problem :

When im starting the car with cold engine it starts normaly
If i shut down the car right after the start or in 30min or 1 H and i want to start it again it wont start.

I have to glow at least 2 times ( i think to build pressure) to start it

So what could it be ?

I was thinking of a vacuum issue/leak but here they say it cant:

Welcome to the forum. if you were wondering why your post did not show up, the first 10 posts from a member cannot contain any links...
no problem, I fixed it for ya!

as far as the warm starting issue goes, I need more details.

does the starter engage at all?
when you say TWO GLOWS, do you mean two times the glow light goes out, and you cycle the key, and it starts? give more exact details of what is going on!

oh, and it's REQUIRED for you to post pics of your car!

thanks!

Try removing the vacuum line from the shut off valve to bleed off vacuum the next time it happens. The ignition switch might not be releasing vacuum from the shut off valve.

that is a good point, if the dash has been messed with, the two lines on the vacuum switch on the ignition could be reversed. that would make it slow to release vacuum and the car would be difficult to start...

Ooooh, I could have just made that mistake. I looked at the ignition before I took the rubber boots off and made a mental note that the black W/ blue stripe goes on closest to the body of the ignition. As I put it back on, a week later, I noticed both rubber fittings are black W/ blue stripe.

What should I look for to know if they are reversed?

edited for spelling-as if I could tell

Oh sorry didnt know that thanks vstech!

two times the glow light goes out, and you cycle the key, and it starts
If i want to cyle at the first time it only cranks.

i will try to make a video of the situation.

Does someone has a picture of the shut off valve (OM601 engine) and if i remove the line can i still shut down the engine then ?

Can a IP (Injection Pump) leak cause this problem also ? i think i got a leak there i will wash my engine and check it out

Don't have a picture., sorry. You will have to shut the engine down manually without the brown line attached.
