#1Got the lines on, but want to clean the intake. to remove the intake I must get the pesky vacuum line off the rear of the injection unit. I discovered the "special" clip that I think keeps it from popping out, it's held in by a clever clamp on the corner, but after taking out the clip, the vacuum line does come out.........partially then seems to stop, I don't want to force it and rip or break the line. The other end of this line goes to a device on the left shock tower, electrical in nature, obviously some type of electrical switch controlled by vacuum. In short i believe it has to come off at the injector unit. I hate playing detective when a real manual would provide me w/ factual information,no luck there. Should I continue trying to pull it off the rear of the unit? #2, A couple of the intake ports are dirtier than I like, any suggestions for cleaning them or should I rotate each cylinder to where both valves are closed, pour in the nasty stuff and then vacuum it out? #3 Really like this
car, just turned 100K, Texas car, but I hate flying blind in requards to manuals, just acquired a MB Diagnostic manual; body and accessories and complete factory schematics, happy to share data with other E300D fans. I suggest others w/factory imformation post what they might have, We could scan it and create CD's for each other. Scan tools suggestions for the diesel would also be appreciated, thanks in advance for your suggestions.
