red light on dash

87 300sdl the red light next to the yellow glo light stays on. The manual has no marking on this light. appraciate any help thanks

Does the red light come on when you turn the key to the first click? I'm trying to remember what's in that area. The lights are just individual bulbs stuck into the back of the cluster, it's possible someone took the cluster out and plugged that into the wrong spot.

no it comes on when turned all the way. car starts great yellow light goes off, runs perfect. in the book there are labels on all other lights, nothing for this one. car has been sitting for a month. noone has tampered with dash. thank you for the interest

My guess - low brake fluid, or parking brake sticking and not returned fully to is UP position.

checked both are fine. in the manual it's between 12 and 13. everything running fine. guess will pull dash and look for a short. thanks for the idea
