E300D HP gains & MPG gains for $69?
Alright! Count me skeptical.
Can this really be when the engine's fuel & injection timing are mechanically determined? What am I missing here and has anyone tried and or using one of these? MERCEDES E300 GF Peformance Chip |

You are right in that not much can be done with the diesel versions I suspect. |

There is a little to be had electronically. I'm pretty sure no one sells an off the shelf solution though.

I actually went part way through the order process and listed my specific model and the website, follows by listing the specific expected improvements for my vehicle. I'm not even sure if there is a removeable chip available on my ICU.

Well it says it plugs into the IAT sensor so it probably isn't a chip at all, just something to game the IAT sensor readings.

There are aftermarket programs for the ECU that can boost HP +15% or more for the turbos. I don't think you get beter MPG if you have a heavy foot though. Numerous members have used them and enjoyed them......Not much can be done for the 95-97's.They are what they are.
Never seen one that is plug-n-play; previous versions always require the ECU be sent out to be reprogrammed.

Ironically their ad is right below this thread. Their ad face page is oriented primarily towards electronic ignition engines, but if you follow the order process they do have a device for the E300td.
I remember many years ago when I was a kid I saw an ad for a turbine that attached to the backside of your differential ring gear. You would ignite the turbine and add force to the ring gear. Wish I still had my old Hot Rod mags. Just looking at the ads would be fun. |
