Hello and diff question
The last time I was on here was May 2007!
I know, I know! Well back then I was driving a real beater of a 1980 300TD and got rid of it then and was driving a Volvo S90 since then. But once that TD got in my blood there was a calling to have it back that I couldn't shake no matter how I tried. So, I stopped lying to myself and got a nicer 1984 300TD with a third row for the kids! Yessss, I'm back.I cut my teeth on the older one and since I've had this car (2 Weeks) I've fixed the non-working door locks, removed the dash and "golf teed" the leaks on the center vent and fresh air vent pods, disabled the EGR valve (testing purposes only) and adjusted the transmission to shift like butter. All thanks to you guys and the posts. Thank you. Now for the question, I was driving the car on the highway, oh about 2700 miles from LA to South Florida and I did notice one thing. The car wants to pull right while accelerating and left when decelerating. It is not scary, oh cr*p, pulling but certainly more than barely noticeable. almost skatey like. The SLS is working fine as well as the accumulators. Brand spanking new tires all the way around and no vibrations or noise coming from the differential. There is a slow leak from the pumpkin and I will tackle that next week. Your feedback is always appreciated and I am hoping this is not a full differential replacement issue as that will have to wait a loooong time $$ wise. Also, I am thinking of cleaning the intake manifold and other lines associated with the EGR, what is the best way to accomplish that task? Thank you in advance. Todd
