'99 E300 FSS Resetting

Well the E300 is rarely driven and I saw that it said "service due in 10 days" or something. Well that was weeks ago and now it just says "SERVICE DUE NOW" and I've tried the standard FSS reset, but was thinking there was something else.

Tried it about 30 times to no avail, I've had this car about 10 yrs and have been able to do it before. However, I did not allow it to go past the countdown of days before service was due.

I've done the normal reset countless times now. This does not work.

All it ever says is "SERVICE DUE NOW"

When I go through the reset it beeps when it should but will NEVER show anything other than "SERVICE DUE NOW". It does NOT go to miles to next change or anything. I can get past the display and have it go to the normal display of miles etc. But if I drive it this "SERVICE DUE NOW" is always popping up at the start.

That's interesting, the '99's must be a little different than the '98's.

All mine has ever said is "Service Exceeded By xxx Miles" if I let it go beyond the oil change limit.
