300TD wagon pains and joys..help wanted.

Huge thanks to all who have pm'd me links, advice and notes of jealousy that I live 20 minutes from vstech and you don't. (yes you should be jealous and yes he is the guru you think he is)
The starting point, 500 bucks and a really hard load backwards onto the trailer from a 3+ year stay under a tree in Charlotte.

I,you,we discovered that many of my early issues didn't matter because someone had put a non turbo IP on my Turbo.

After some purging, ether, glow plugs, and an oil change, I had a running car, I even drive down the street and back(after my wife brought me some fuel when I ran out in my Gatorade bottle)
Today I spent some time in heaven(the vstech warehouse) and was able to come home with a correct IP.
After my time in heaven I came home just in time to get some work done in a lovely 105 degree driveway.
I had my IP pulled so I went ahead and did a valve adjustment, replace the super crappy Autolite plugs I wasted my money on then started the IP mess..

Soooo....the current issues I hope someone can shed some light on, who has some more IP experience than I do.
Once I managed to get it in there, which was awful....I just could not get things back to fit right..vstech gave me a bracket that bolts to the engine that holds a spring to tension the throttle...this bracket could NOT be on and I get the IP back where it would fit...just kept hanging up, so I took it off. The IP then snug up exactly where it was suppose to be...the problem is now that other than having heat exhaustion I have no way of getting that bracket on, or getting the spring to do its job....also I now have an extra hole on the priming pump that I am not sure what to do with...oh and a few pieces on the IP I'm not sure what to do with either...I'm sure vstech can help me with the pump and connections, but anyone else had these issues when changing pumps and the throttle spring?

Thanks,
Preston

No idea where this part came from and where to put it back to?
No spring for throttle currently either.

it's for the fuel line... did we not include that in the box of stuff you took home with ya?
I'll bring it by tomorrow morning. I think the oil filter box will need to come out to get that bracket in... maybe not. perhaps we can raise the car up on stands, and get under it to install?

Two fuel lines? Im confused, over heated or have no idea what I'm doing...all three most likely. The bracket may be a tough one..... I also picked up some copper washers as well from autozone, not sure if they will fit, but I seem to be missing a few. I defiantly need an extra set of eyes/brain...Ive used up all my brain juice for the weekend I believe...

that open hole is the lift pump fuel outlet, i can't tell from the pic if the fitting is in that hole or not; either way a hose connects from it to the secondary (big) fuel filter.
that last pic looks like the connection to the vacuum control valve (VCV) which is that roundish looking white plastic part with two vacuum hoses coming off it on the top rear of the IP-i think you hook it into the metal part with the plastic slider disconnected and then put the slider back on (you'll see when you try to hook it up)

I see where that goes now! My brain was spent, I think I may have left it on my old IP instead of leaving it on the filter, that's why it fooled me.

Found a good old thread about the reinstall troubles of an IP, may give it another go this afternoon, not feeling much better about it, but at least I can try a few new ideas.

I am going to pull it again and figure something out with the bracket and spring, but looks like I must have left the fuel line and fitting on the old pump.
