Can someone explain to me how the vac transducers work?
Are they based on voltage modification or? I've got 12v in and subpar vac on the out side...

The vacuum transducer on a 1985 W123?
They take high vacuum, modulated vacuum from the VCV and turbo boost. The turbo boost determines the amount of leakage. The output is for the transmission. It is all done by valves. There is a screw to adjust it and it might need cleaning after a while. There is no voltage, only to the switchover valve (high/low vacuum depending on engine temperature). |

0m60x p2 flap transducer in particular. In 92 they replaced the p2 flap transducer with a solenoid. I wonder if it is possible to simply go with that.

All the ones I've seen have a metal piston inside with covers / uncovers the vacuum port. If it gets full of crap the piston will stick.
