Front hub sizes: w123 versus w126, others?
Does anyone know if w126 models have the same size (diameter) front hub as w123s?
The longer story: A couple of years back, I purchased a set of 15mm hub adapters (spacers) used, to run w210 wheels on my w123. The adapters were sold to me as having been used on a R107, 1980 SL. When they arrived I discovered that apparently the w123 has somewhat larger front hubs/grease caps than other Mercedes... these adapters won't fit slip over the hub all the way. I did some research and found that German companies sell spacers specifically sized to w123 front hubs. I now want to sell them to someone who can use them. Does anyone know if the large hub issue is solely on w123s, or is it other sedans as well? I figure not, as I don't see anything online about w126 hubs needing special spacers, but I'd rather be sure. Tks
