Did the 1985 300 CD ever come with Chrome wheels? I was looking at my spare and it appears that it's a chrome bundt type wheel that someone painted over with silver. I was able to remove some of the paint and it's chrome underneath. I'm not the original owner of this car. My other wheels are the silver non-chrome type. By the way, it appears that the wheels were never cleaned before they were painted over. I guess you can't count on a quality job to be done by someone when they're trying to sell a car....
