Getting harder to get out of my 190d

Afternoon,

I'm getting up in the years and I've noticed lately that getting out of my 1984 190d is getting harder. The 190d is pretty close to the ground. I know that a 240d is lots higher than my 190d. I've been looking around on the internet trying to get an idea of the cost of a 1980-1983 240d. It looks like the cars that look in real good shape are around $8,000. Does anyone know if this will be the area of cost I will be looking at? If I get a 240d I'll just give old Sally to my fourteen year old son. He won't have any trouble getting out of it. Thanks for any info you can give me.
