Oil Lines
Yep, oil lines on a w126 . . . in spite of lifting from motor mounts, still a pita and if I remember correctly, I think I discovered that doing the line closest first helped . . . not sure. Valve adjustments are fun but do take more time than they should to do right . .

I may be doing a fan replacement on a 115 soon. I hear I may invent new swear words for that one.

My vote is for the heater blower on a W108/ W109.... senseless in its complexity. A W114/115 is a piece of cake by comparison. Of course, since I just remembered this is the Diesel forum, the W115 blower it shall be. Damn, W100s didn't come in Diesel, either, so... what are you people whining about, again?

My vote is rocker/floor rust repair. I'm in that hell now.

Oil cooler lines on a W123 300D. One of the least enjoyable jobs ever.

Well, I've done a lot of things on my 300D, and nothing has been too bad. I do hate removing and replacing the engine fan on the new turbo motor, though. My hands are just a bit too big for the clearances involved.
If anything was ever hard, it was pulling a transmission tailhousing off a car in the junkyard that had a rounded off 12 point nut. Had to resort to slicing the nut off with a cordless dremel, and even with two batteries at my disposal, I had to return home to charge the pair of them twice to get the job done, for a total of 90 miles of driving.

All the P-N-P's have here are oil-slicked mud puddles. They didn't even want to let me in the yard with the Dremel at first, but I explained that there was no other way the nut could be removed, and that I wasn't likely to compromise the balance and safety of a car in the yard with a rotary tool like I could with a body saw.
