I found a white door!

After a bit of searching, I found a white door for the 300TD! Now, of course, with all of the white/Palomino cars out there, I had to get a white/navy door! Has anyone had any luck transplanting the glued-on trim from around the window, or should I even try? I'm told the euros don't even have it, maybe I should just strip it off of all the doors?

The molded plastic trim that goes around the inside of the window frame? How is it attached, then?

On mine they are glued on.

Since you'll plan on replacing the door, and the blue does not match what your car has, you can try practicing removing the vinyl trim on the replacement door. You'll need to remove the door weatherstripping material though:

Try CAREFULLY heating it up with either a heat gun or a hairdryer, maybe it just peels off when it's warm.

Could be worth a try, however with a heatgun there is a chance you could ruin the trim if you stay on one place for too long...

The weatherstripping on all the doors needs replaced, that's on the to do list, so maybe I'll wait until then to experiment. The guy I got the door from said it is painted underneath, and he has just stripped the plastic before. He's the one who said the euros don't have this trim.
