Picture request

I need a picture of how the belt tensioner mounts to the head please

my little strut thing is hanging loose I think there was a mount to the head that came loose and fell off !

I cant get the battery to keep a charge because the belt is not stretched enough I guess

that is on a 2.5 TD on my 93

Googled: 2.5 mercedes Turbo Diesel serpentine belt tensioner

there were several pictures, depending on which angle you need to see(?)

This might be quicker than waiting for pics/answering questions etc.

Just my .02

Thanks for the link, one of the pictures that came up in your search shows exactly what I was looking for

Which leads back to the greatest site known to man !

Remove the upper attachment of the tensioner damper with a 13mm wrench. There's a clip that serves as both a washer for the bolt and a retainer for the upper spring perch. Keep track of the clip although it'll probably have made friends with the upper chain guide rail pin extension that serves as the upper spring perch pivot.

My clip was gone too but it was very easy to make another one.

Just found a thin metal 90 in my junk box, put another bend in it, drilled it and ground it into shape on the bench grinder, painted it black.
